The Beginning
I had someone tell me the other day that I should start a blog about being the parent of an Asperger's girl. Asperger's is more common in boys than in girls. My daughter is not the typical teenager. She's 17 and doesn't have a boyfriend. Most parents would be thrilled that their daughter isn't dating, but I am probably one of the few that want's their child to start experiencing things, like relationships, that most teenagers have been doing for years. I want her to "test the waters" so to speak because of how scary the real world is. We all know how many people prey on innocent young girls. I don't want her to be one of the statistics. So slowly I am going to share things, like the triumphs and struggles that we've been through and currently going through. I will work on the first big post tomorrow. Thanks for following me!
